Web Applications

A "web application" is software that resides on a web server that exists to perform a certain function. Examples of web applications are shopping carts, member registration, message boards, chat rooms, etc. ProMedia IT has implemented those applications and others either as additions to existing web sites or as part of a complete web site design.

Specific examples include:

• A content management system for a local magazine which targets potential visitors with information about the area, places to visit and places to shop.
• An internet store where customers can purchase products from a vendor's supplies.
• A stock photography catalog that lets visitors view the work of a stock photographer from the comfort of their own home.

The breadth and depth of a web application is only limited by the imagination (and, well, your budget).
